Community Language A Level and GCSE examinations

Community languages are those which are not taught in lessons. In this year, we are being asked to award predicted grades for all qualifications.
Following examination board guidance, we will only be entering grades if we have a good sample of assessed work which enables us to make a fair and informed prediction.
This means that we cannot enter grades for students who have not been taught, and who do not have any assessed work.
We regret this very much, and understand that students unable to take a community language will be very disappointed.
The examination boards have stated that they will provide opportunities in the next academic year for students to sit these examinations. We are sure that there will be examinations in May/June 2021, but we have no information yet about an earlier opportunity.
Individual queries should be addressed to the Exams Officer. (exams@southfieldsacademy.com)
